Welcome to ARTEM WordPress Theme! We would like to thank you for choosing our theme - ARTEM.

ARTEM is a trendy, minimalistic and creative WordPress Theme for digital agency, an architect, creative agencies, resumes, etc.

Requirements

There are system requirements in order to install and setup ARTEM theme and its components properly. Make sure that you are running the latest version of WordPress, PHP, MySQL.

Minimum requirements:
Wordpress 5.7 or higher;
PHP 7.4 or higher;
Database: MySQL 5.015 or higher (An alternative is MariaDB, version 10.1 or higher);
Disk space: At least 1 GB.
WP Memory limit of 256 MB (Elementor and Elementor Pro only), 512 MB recommended, 768 MB for best performance.;

Installing the theme

When you are ready to install a theme, you must first upload the theme files and then activate the theme itself. The theme files can be uploaded in two ways:

1. Using Theme Uploader

Follow the steps as instructed in the images below:

  1. From the dashboard go to    AppearanceThemesAdd NewUpload Theme
  2. Click on “Choose File” and select artem.zip;
  3. Click on “Install Now”.
  4. After the theme has been successfully uploaded, click Activate
  5. Then follow the simple, step-by-step instructions that are on your screen. This step will install all the necessary theme plugins and demo content.

2. Using FTP Clients

Follow the following steps to upload your theme using FTP clients:

  1. Use an FTP such as FileZilla and go to your WordPress installation director
  2. Navigate to /wp-content/themes/ folder and upload the theme folder there
  3. Log in to your WP Admin Dashboard and open the    AppearanceThemes menu
  4. You will now see ARTEM Theme listed among the other themes. Click on Activate and you’re done!
3. Updating the theme

We recommend that you use the Envato Market plugin to keep the theme up-to-date.

  1. Download the Envato Market plugin from here: http://envato.github.io/wp-envato-market/dist/envato-market.zip
  2. Install the plugin from    PluginsAdd New
  3. Once installed, you should see an Envato Market menu on the admin sidebar. Click on it.
  4. Enter your Envato API Personal Token in the Token field. If you don’t have an API token you can create one here or click on the generate a personal token link on that page.
  5. Once you have pasted your token in the Token field, click on Save Changes.
  6. Should your token be correct, two extra tabs are now available on your Envato Market page. Click on the Plugins tab.

Basic Site Setting

Change Site Title, Logo and Favicon

To change your Site title, logo and favicon login to wp-admin and navigate to    DashboardAppearanceCustomizeSite Identity

go to Dashboard → Appearance → Customize → Site Identity and change it.
Theme Options

To get to the advanced theme settings, log in to wp-admin and go to    DashboardAppearanceCustomizeTheme OptionsGeneral Style

Theme Options
  1. Theme UI - Light or Dark theme style.
  2. Color - Accent Color, for example at the cursor.
  3. Enable Circle Cursor - Enables/disables the effect for the cursor.
  4. Enable Preloader - Enables/Disables the preloader that you can see when the page loads.
  5. Preloader Logo Size - Logo size for preader for three resolutions.
Menu Type

To set the menu type, go to    DashboardAppearanceCustomizeTheme OptionsMenu Type

  1. Default - Overlay menu type.
  2. Side - Side menu on the right side.
  3. Classic - The classic look of the menu in the form of text links to the right of the logo.
Typography

To customize the typography, go to    DashboardAppearanceCustomizeTheme OptionsTypography

To set up your portfolio go to    DashboardAppearanceCustomizeTheme OptionsPortfolio

Portfolio Settings
  1. Portfolio Header - Intro view on the project details page: half - half of the initial screen is occupied by the text head of the project, the second half of the screen is occupied by the image; Full - the start screen occupies a full-screen image (intro) on top of which there is a title and other meta data of the project.
  2. Show Details - Shows and hides project metadata (client, year, role, website).
  3. Navigation - Names for navigation links in the footer of the project detail page.
Blog

To set up your blog go to    DashboardAppearanceCustomizeTheme OptionsBlog

Blog Settings
  1. Layout - This setting will allow you to make the layout of your block fixed or responsive.
  2. Columns - Here you can choose the number of columns in your blog, from 1 to 3.
  3. Enable Filter - Allows you to show or hide the category filter on the blog.
  4. Enable lable "Categories" - Allows you to show or not hide the label in filters.
  5. Alignment Filter - Allows you to position filters on the right, left, or center side.
  6. Enable Excerpt - Allows you to show or hide excerpt in posts.
  7. Enable Read More - Allows you to show or hide button "Read More" in posts.
  8. Social Share - Allows you to select social shares on the single post page.

To set up your footer go to    DashboardAppearanceCustomizeTheme OptionsFooter

Footer Settings
  1. Footer Layout - Allows you to choose between two versions of the footer.
  2. Show Footer in Single Portfolio - Allows you to show or hide the footer on Single Portfolio pages.
  3. Show Footer in Single Post - Allows you to show or hide the footer on Single Post pages.

To set up your 404 page go to    DashboardAppearanceCustomizeTheme Options404

  2. Text - Text/title for the 404 page
  3. Background - This is the background mask.

Portfolio

Creating a project

From the dashboard go to    PortfolioAll ItemsAdd New

Adding content is divided into two parts. At the beginning, you add basic project data: title, category, project image, client, year, website link. Next, you need to save the project, the "Save Draft" button (top, right), and then click on the "Edit with Elementor" button - this will take you to the page of the created project, where in design mode you can easily create unique pages for your projects .

  2. Add title - The title of your project, which you can see on the page with the detailed description of your project.
  3. Portfolio Categories - Here you can select a category for your project, as well as create a new one. You can also manage categories by going to    PortfolioPortfolio Categories
  4. Featured Image - This is the preview image of your project (overview page)
  5. Secondary Featured Image - This is the main image of your project (intro)/You can also use video, just click the switch and select video from the media library.
  6. Client - The client name that appears on the project details page.
  7. Year - The year the project was created for your client.
  8. Website Link - Link to the website of the created project.

Adding content is divided into two parts. First, you add the basic data of the publication: title, category, publication image. Next, you need to save the project, the button "Save Draft" (top, right), and then click the button "Edit with Elementor" - this will take you to the page of the created post, where in builder mode you can easily create unique pages for your projects.

  2. Add title - This is the field for the title of your post
  3. Categories - Here you can choose which category your post belongs to and you can also add a new category.
  4. Featured image - Here you can select the preview image that will be displayed on the news list page as well as on the details page at the beginning of the page.
  5. Excerpt - This section is optional and only applicable to posts. Here you can write a one to two sentence description of the post or page.
  6. Discussion - This option allows you to disable comments in your news item.
  7. Featured Video - Videos intro post.

Editing a contact forms

To edit the contact form, follow these steps:

  1. From the dashboard go to    ContactContact formEdit
  2. Edit the contact form as you want and click Save

  1. Toolbar - This toolbar contains various functional elements of the form (various text boxes, checkboxes, radio buttons)
  2. Form body - The body of the form contains HTML markup of the form, which contains fields and a button, which you can see on the contact page.
  3. Mail tab - The Mail tab contains the email template that you get when a user sends a contact form on your site.
  4. Messages tab - The Messages tab contains system messages that can be seen when the form is submitted.
  5. Button Save - This button allows you to save all your changes in this contact form
